Safety

Dedicated Safety Oversight
To fulfill our commitment to protect both people and property, Alcon Electrical Corp. has a certified safety person responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.
We strive to eliminate foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury/illness. Regular site safety visits, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and safety training all help in maintaining Alcon’s COR.
We are COR certified.

Alcon Electrical Corp. is COR certified and continues to maintain our Health and Safety Program through training, inspections, documentation, incident follow-up, and ongoing review. Our safety program is built to meet Alberta OHS requirements, industry standards, and site-specific requirements from our clients and general contractors.
Keeping Our People and Worksites Safe
At Alcon Electrical Corp., safety is part of our day-to-day work. Our goal is to complete each project safely, properly, and in compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
We maintain a COR-certified safety program and have procedures in place to help protect our workers, subcontractors, clients, visitors, and the public. This includes worker orientations, training, hazard assessments, inspections, toolbox talks, emergency planning, and incident reporting.

Safety on Site
Before work begins, our crews review the hazards involved with the task and make sure the proper controls are in place. Supervisors and workers are expected to follow safe work procedures, use required PPE, and report hazards or concerns when they come up.
We also complete site inspections and safety meetings to help make sure work is being done safely and that any issues are corrected in a timely manner.
Our Safety Program Includes:
- Return to work and modified duties support
- Worker orientations and safety training
- Field-level hazard assessments
- Safe work procedures and practices
- Toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Site inspections and corrective actions
- Emergency response planning
- Incident and near-miss reporting
Our Commitment
Safety is a shared responsibility. Everyone on site has a role in keeping the work area safe, reporting hazards, and following the procedures in place.
At Alcon, we are committed to maintaining safe worksites and making sure our workers go home safely at the end of the day.
